India- The Reprise

So, after much deliberation, and a few false alarms, in a little less than 12 hours I am off to India! On a one way ticket, with a guidebook and an open mind. Off to follow the wind. Jump head first into the world.

It's so interesting the reflections one has when standing at a precipice. I have dreamt this trip for so long and now that it is in front of me, it's hard to know what to make of it. It's funny how you can almost find yourself not wanting to achieve your dreams. Not that you don't want to achieve, simply that once achieved, it will cease to be a dream. Strange the attachments we form.

Keep in touch my dears. Much love.

  1. Namaste Amy,

We hope that everything worked out according to plan, and that you are now safely asleep in your hostel in Delhi. We miss you already, and look forward to your next entry, and subsequent entries, since your descriptions are the next best thing to being there with you.
As for your precipice analogy, I can understand it completely. I know no one who is more excited about traveling or who is so well-prepared, both practically and philosophically, for traveling. As for the fulfillment of your dreams, I have no doubt that, once this dream has been realized, that it will be replaced by a new, and perhaps, even greater one. That's the type of person you are. You never think small, and can look outside the box. The difference between you and many others is that you actually make your dreams come true rather than just leaving them as dreams. That is a rare quality. Take care. We love you. Be safe.
